High?temperature creep resistant ternary blends based on polyethylene and polypropylene for thermoplastic power cable insulation

چکیده

The impact of a small amount polystyrene-b-poly(ethylene-co-butylene)-b-polystyrene (SEBS) on the thermomechanical and electrical properties blends comprising low-density polyethylene (LDPE) isotactic polypropylene (PP) is investigated. SEBS found to assemble at PP:LDPE interface as well within isolated PP domains. addition 10 wt% significantly increases storage modulus between melting temperatures two polyolefins, 110 160°C, results in improved resistance creep during both tensile deformation compression. Furthermore, ternary display very low direct-current (DC) conductivity 3.4 × 10?15 S m?1 70°C 30 kV mm?1, which considerably lower than values measured for neat LDPE. here presented type blend shows potential an insulation material high-voltage direct current power cables.
